Physiotherapy is the treatment and diagnosis of injury, overuse problems, or disease, by non surgical means. A Physiotherapist is also skilled at giving in depth advice on the management of these problems. This may include advice on whether to rest, exercise, apply ice, or use a brace for example.

As well as 'hands on' techniques, Physiotherapists are often trained in other treatment means such as manipulation, electrotherapy, acupuncture and injection therapy.Joanne Kingston has been involved in Physiotherapy for high class junior and senior athletes for many years. She worked for World Class Hockey for 7 years and spent 4 years as Physiotherapist for the England U18 Men's squad.
Services
JK Physio was set up by Jo Kingston in 1996 after a successful and extensive career within the NHS and with Elite sport. Her wealth of experience, drive to offer answers, desire for successful treatment of pain and injury and always wanting to help people remain active, have been her overriding goals.
If you will be funding the treatment yourself you do NOT need to see your GP. If you will be claiming through Private Medical Insurance, you will need to have seen your GP first. We do not necessarily need to see a letter from your GP at your first visit if there is a time delay with this, as long as you have either seen your GP or had a verbal agreed referral, and as such confirmation be in your medical records.
Chartered Physiotherapists are highly qualified skilled professionals who have had training in all aspects of medicine and understand how best to help an individual recovery and fully rehabilitate to the best of their ability whether it be from a car accident, a sports injury, arthritis, surgery or even a stroke.
At JK Physio Chichester we have the option to use WINBACK during your rehabilitation treatment. Winback Tecartherapy fully compliments our manual techniques and ensures you enjoy a soothing, successful and swift recovery. Winback Tecartherapy is a non-invasive high frequency electrotherapy operating between 300khz and 1Mhz.
Many of the Physiotherapists at JK Physio have been involved in Physiotherapy for high class junior and senior athletes for many years. Jo Kingston, Practice Director worked for World Class Hockey for 7 years and spent 4 years as Physiotherapist for the England U18 Men's squad. Jo is still an active golfer and skier, and has an in-depth understanding of how physiotherapy can improve performance and prevent injury.
