Services
A funeral plan is an easy way to pre-arrange the funeral you want and pay for the funeral director's services covered by the plan in advance. A plan can help to save your family worry and expense, and help make things easier for your loved ones at what is often a difficult time. As our customers often tell us, that can be a big weight off your mind.
Disbursements are charges by third parties such as Crematorium/Burial fees, catering flowers. Once the funeral arrangements have been completed, we'll issue a full written estimate itemising our costs and the things we'll be paying on your behalf such as crematorium and newspaper fees. Payments can be made by card, bank transfer, cheque or cash.
At James McEwan & Son we understand that the final journey can be emotional, we pride ourselves on providing a thoughtful high quality funeral service. Our team of professionals can help you every step of the way, from the initial planning through to the final journey. Our fleet of hearse, limousine and family saloon will ensure that final journey is both dignified and comfortable for all the family.

My mother died two weeks before Christmas. Billy at McEwans could not have been more helpful and compassionate. They took over and did everything possible for me always respecting my wishes. They even managed to arrange the funeral before before Christmas. I cant rate this company highly enough. Lovely people.

When my father unexpectedly passed away I was new to the area and James McEwan & Son was recommended to me. I hadn't arranged a funeral before and they took the time to talk me through all the options and arranged every aspect.
On the day of the funeral we were well taken care of and didn't have to worry about a thing. They made a difficult time easier through their respectful treatment, attention to detail and professionalism.

My dad past away unexpected in Ninewells Hospital Dundee.
#JamesMcEwan&Son were very helpful, Travelling to Ninewells Hospital Dundee to get my dad and bring him back home to James McEwan & Son Perth.
When filling in all the paperwork, from start to end including getting the funeral date. It Didnot take as long as I thought it would.
When the car came to pick the Family up on the way to Perth Crematorium, The driver could not be any nicer talking to family members.
After the service the family were took
