We at Cathcart & Winn take pride in the fact that our caring staff are dedicated to looking after your pet to the highest standard of care and expertise. Our Farnham surgery has been independently assessed by the Royal College as a Veterinary Hospital and is open for emergencies 24 hours a day. We also have a long established practice in the centre of Aldershot and the phone number is 01252 321996.
Out-of-hours, the premises is staffed by a third party, Vets Now, an on site emergency team. Your Pet won't have to be transferred. Just like humans, our pets can experience worry, anxiety and stress. Since we know how these emotions make us feel, we certainly want to help alleviate our pet's. We are always updating our promotions & offers at Cathcart & Winn.

Services
Cathcart & Winn is the longest established veterinary practice in Farnham & Aldershot. It was originally opened in the 1950's as part of the Fennell Veterinary Group. In the late 60's the Cathcart brothers, Bob and Adair took over the Farnham and Aldershot Surgeries. Under their stewardship the Farnham surgery was relocated from Castle Street to its current site and became one of the first veterinary hospitals in the country.
We are able to do the things we do thanks to the exceptional commitment and dedication of all members of our staff. We are a team who contribute our individual skills and experiences to provide expertise in all areas of small animal veterinary medicine and surgery. Members of the Reception, Nursing and Veterinary sections regularly attend courses for continuing professional development and training.
We have developed a range of services to allow you to keep your pets fit and healthy. We want you to have maximum enjoyment from these special companions and for them to live a full and happy life. We recommend that whenever you acquire a new pet you arrange a consultation with a Veterinary Surgeon so that a thorough health check can be performed.
The practice takes pride in providing the highest standards of veterinary care and quality of service. After stringent assessment we have been awarded the tier 3 veterinary hospital status, which is the highest level and very difficult to achieve. We have a Cathcart & Winn VIP Club that allows you to spread the cost of caring for your pet throughout the year and save money.
If your pet is unwell and needs to be admitted to the hospital, an understanding, compassionate and competent staff will care of him or her, providing TLC and first class professional care. We appreciate that it is a worrying time when your pet is ill and away from you, so we will keep you fully informed of their progress whilst they are with us and ensure they are thoroughly monitored and cared for.

During lockdown last April we took our dog to Cathcart and Winn. He was unwell with a cough. Initially they were reluctant to see him due to Covid-19 restrictions, but his cough got worse and worse. He saw various vets at Cathcart, there was only one that really took his case seriously. Turns out he had a form of pneumonia and ended up going to Lumbry Park hospital, but by this time he was so unwell as this had been going on for months, poor boy was unwell for so long with not much help at all. We really feel that if things had been done quicker and more efficiently by Cathcart he may still be
