This is a family run business founded by husband and wife Gordon (former Master Chef of Great Britan) and Maria Watson with their son Garry who was Scottish chef of the year winner and took over the chefs mantle from Gordon after he sadly passed away in 2016.

My wife and I have travelled world wide and our 3 visits to Gordons have been a culinary delight with superb food on all three occasions, beautifully served and just the right size of portions leaving you feeling very replete. Wish we lived a bit closer to this delightful restaurant to make more regular visits. Thanks for a very memorable occasion last night.

Having visited Gordon's on the Sat. 30th July, would have to say for a person that only gives a 9 as there is always room for improvement, this one scored a 10+, Gary and Maria are great hosts and the setting/ rooms are lovely, the food is exceptional presentation and flavours, will be a definite returning customer. Not cheap but excellent value for money. should be given a Michelin star award.

We came all the way from Boston in the States just
to savor the food again in this restaurant. The cheese
souffle is like a light-fluffy island in a sea of melted
cheese, heated to perfection so that the cheese crisps
at the edges. The Angus beef course will make you
pause to enjoy each bite; the succulent beef sits atop
a bed of pesto julienne cabbage strips with pine nuts-
wonderful flavors and textures! And the dessert - chocolate
parfait, with a slice of pear cooked in wine and cinnamon
next to bittersweet chocolate sorbet - MAMMA MIA!
