A club for all. A modern, progressive, friendly club that's ahead of the game. One that has shown vision in adapting to the changing face of golf by driving forward as one club, fit for the future. In 2019, with the introduction of full fees for ladies, all members were afforded equal status and opportunities, creating a level playing field.
Embracing gender equality was a response to the changing economic and social environment, and positioning the club to focus on the current and future challenges we face on and off the course. It's all part of our ambitious five-year development plan, which has seen the appointment of a Head Greenkeeper to add value to course presentation and condition.

Banbridge Golf Club is defined by its long and proud history, and commitment to moving with the times. GUI affiliation followed in 1914. In 1970 a further three holes were added and, in 1991, the course was extended to the present challenging 18 hole layout. The club celebrated its centenary of golf in 2013.
Our Clubhouse Grill run by Chris and Marta serves up a wide and tasty selection of food, and is open to golfers and non-golfers alike. A carvery is served each Sunday from 12 noon until 3.30pm, followed by the normal evening menu from 4pm to close. The Clubhouse Grill is open for private functions / bookings so don't forget to contact Chris for pricing your bespoke party.
We love our members - they're the foundation blocks of our club, the lifeblood. We're a club for all - one that doesn't distinguish between culture, creed, colour, class. With the change to our governance structure in 2019, gender-specific fees were abolished and members are treated equally in all aspects of club life.
Get into Golf is a taster programme promoted by the Confederation of Golf in Ireland (CGI) to make golf more accessible to a wider audience, and to support golf clubs in recruiting more members and, as a result, increased revenue. It was piloted by the Irish Ladies Golf Union (ILGU) in 2013 to help increase female participation, and the visibility of women in golf, through a structured coaching and buddying system.
I joined Banbridge Golf Club through the Ladies Get into Golf initiative offered by the club. I would highly recommend this taster programme to any woman considering taking up golf. Thanks to the warm welcome and encouragement from existing members, I made new friends and had fun along the way. I took up the membership offer and the following year I submitted my score cards to gain a handicap.
