Services
Your first appointment with South Downs Osteopathy will last up to 60 minutes. The majority of this time will be spent taking a detailed history, assessing your posture and examining you. It is important for Ross to gain detailed information about the symptoms you are reporting, along with information about your general health and past medical history.
What should I wear? As with any medical examination, you will probably be asked to undress to your underwear, so please wear something you are comfortable in. Alternatively, please bring along some loose shorts and a vest top to change into. Can I bring a friend or relative? Yes - if you wish, you can have someone present throughout your consultation and treatment.
Please note: A fee will be charged for non-attendance, and for cancellation within 24 hours of your appointment if the slot cannot subsequently be filled. We accept debit/credit card or cash at all locations. Alternatively, we can accept BACS payment in advance. Want to claim on your health insurance?

At South Downs Osteopathy, we believe osteopathic healthcare should be available to everyone, regardless of their background, income or postcode.
Unfortunately, osteopathy is not currently available on the NHS in Brighton & Hove and there are no plans for this position to change in the future (see Ross's blog post for more details), which is a real pity as there has been excellent feedback from patients receiving NHS osteopathy for back pain in neighbouring West Sussex.
