Services
Osteopathy is a system of assessment and treatment that attempts to look at you and your health as a whole. Back pain is the most common presenting symptom but by no means the only thing we treat. In a consultation you will be given time to explain your health issues and how they affect your daily life.
One of the most important parts of your recovery from pain is identifying appropriate exercises for your problem. Any exercise regime should be straightforward to understand and easy to perform, it should not take up too much of your time or be too intrusive into your lifestyle. The wrong exercises or those done half heartedly are a waste of time and could slow your progress to recovery.
Nearly everybody feels pain at some point in their lives, back pain being one of the most common, it is the most effective warning system we have to alert us to danger or potential danger to our bodies. It is so effective that it can make us think of nothing else, it can change the way we think, move and behave.
If you are experiencing back pain you are in good company. Around 80% or more of the population have at least one episode in their lifetime. Unfortunately it can be very painful and can interfere with your work and social life. The good news is that the cause is only really serious in less than 1% of cases, so most likely the chances are your symptoms are not due to anything dangerous.
BPPV is characterised by repeated episodes of vertigo (spinning sensation) related to changes in head position. It is a common, benign condition caused by the displacement of calcium crystals in the inner ear but can be quite distressing. The Epley maneuver is used to relocate the crystals to relieve the symptoms of vertigo and can be taught as a home exercise to strengthen the treatment.

I was originally recommended Mark several years ago when I had a flare up from an old riding injury. Since then, he has been absolutely fantastic. Professional in every sense of the word, with an exceptional knowledgable of osteopathy and general health. It was on Mark’s suggestion that I have blood tests having observed my health for several years. This consequently discovered an underlying autoimmune condition. I am forever grateful to his noticing my symptoms, as this really was life changing. Also predominantly his continued assistance with my back and neck with issues when I have done something

So grateful to have found Mark. From the outset his manner was reassuring and his approach thorough. In just one session he identified the problems with my joints and gave me the exercises to address them. A follow-up session and subsequent communications have helped keep my progress on track.
I especially appreciated Mark explaining in clear language what was causing my issues.
Altogether, highly recommended.

Very impressed by Mark Andrews who was a very good listener and uickly put me at my ease. He diagnosed my problem and reassured me about my general osteopathic health. I felt that I was in safe hands. He gave me some specific exercises to carry out between appointments, and they have definitely improved my mobility and reduced my pain. For the first time in 4 years I have almost no pain, I no longer suffer from headaches and I can move almost as freely as I ever did before !!! I highly recommend Mark, and am very glad that he was recommended to me

If there were more than 5 stars, Mark would get them! Mark's approach and knowledge are just miles above the others. He takes time to fully diagnose, treat and advise, and gets it right, time after time.
I've been seeing and recommending Mark for almost ten years. I've recommended him to many others in that time, who also now do the same.
Recently I trapped nerve in my back, I could not walk due to pain in my leg, hip and back... 48 hours after seeing Mark, I'm back, pain free, he's just unbelievable!

I've been seeing Mark for many years - for a wide variety of mostly sports related injuries - and his service, treatment and aftercare advice have always been first class. In fact, they've regularly been the difference between making the event/trek/adventure or not. I can't recommend Mark highly enough.

Mark came highly recommended by two separate friends, as I searched for someone to help me with an acute back injury and chronic neck pain.
I have seen Mark several times now and have been very impressed by the depth of his knowledge, his holistic approach, and his expert understanding of both the physical and psychological aspects of health and wellbeing.
During my treatment Mark spotted a potential condition that may have been causing many troublesome symptoms.
On his advice my GP was contacted, blood tests were done and now a referral to a rheumatologist has been made. The correct diagnosis
