Services
Abbey 345 Pre-School provides high quality care and education for children aged between 2 and 5 years old and is open every day during term time. The Pre-School is situated within the grounds of South View Primary School next to the Croyland Children's Centre. We have modern purpose-built premises with two large rooms, incorporating different learning areas, with a wide range of equipment and interesting activities.
We have an enthusiastic team of staff, all of whom are dedicated childcare professionals. As well as attending mandatory training courses (Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Paediatric First Aid, Manual Handling and Safeguarding), they are encouraged to undertake additional training to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the ever-changing requirements within the childcare sector.
Our superb carpeted classroom provides a wide range of small world and role play activities. It hosts our library and ICT focus areas. It is also where we enjoy our circle times with exciting stories, music & movement and chances to experiment with different musical instruments. Our lovely linoed classroom allows us an ever changing selection of tactile activities - including sand, water, playdough, gloop, jelly and angel delight, to name a few.
We recognise that all children are unique and develop at their own pace, needing different stimuli and methods of approach. We plan accordingly and are always looking for exciting and innovative ways to enhance children's learning and development. Literacy is promoted by free access to books / story telling / puppets etc and books are sent home to share with parents / carers.
Please note that fees remain due even if a child is absent without notice. In cases of prolonged absence, parents should consult with the Management Committee. Each child's attendance at the Pre-School is conditional upon continued payment of the relevant fees.
All children can attend free of charge for up to 15 hours per week from the term after their third birthday, due to the funding from the government (Early Years Entitlement) or 30 Hours if certain criteria is met.You also have the option to split your 15/30 hours free entitlement with other childcare providers (maximum of 2).
