Parson Drove Pre-school Within Alderman Payne School
We are open as usual (term time) whilst following Government guidelines associated with the current pandemic. If families or professionals wish to get in touch outside of term time please email us at parsondrovepreschool@gmail.com and we will get back in touch with you. We are a small village pre-school located in a mobile unit, in the grounds of Alderman Payne Primary School, Parson Drove.

There are five qualified members of staff, one at level 5 and four at level 3, and 2 students studying at Level 3. We regularly have students in our group, and are ourselves, committed to updating our training. If parents would like to stay and help out on occasions, they are very welcome and should discuss this with the Manager.

We achieved our Bronze Award with Modeshift STARS during the summer of 2018. This is the national schools awards scheme that is established to recognise schools that have demonstrated excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable travel. The scheme encourages us to join others to increase levels of sustainable and active travel in order to improve the health and well-being of children and young people.
During the summer of 2018 we were very happy to move into a new modular building on the same site as our old one. This change has opened up many possibilities in terms of the service we can offer and as these changes materialise we will keep you posted. During February half-term 2021 we were fortunate to be able to have an 'airy' covered shelter erected on our entrance decking.
The aim of the Early Years Pupil Premium is to close the gap between children from disadvantaged backgrounds and other children by providing additional funding to settings such as ours, therefore providing the opportunity to raise the quality of provision we offer. All children aged three and four (not two year olds), who meet the eligibility criteria will benefit from the funding.
