A lovely little hotel opposite the Botanic Gardens with a warm and welcoming reception.
Our room was small but toasty warm and comfortable. No doubt one of their more 'cost effective' rooms but fine for us all the same.
The staff are fabulous - attentive and always smiling and nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast is generous and really tasty with a cooked option full of local meaty goodies. The potato scone was good too!
We only paid £54 for b&b which was a steal!

Nice little hotel located in the West End area. It's situated at the end of the road, so you'll have to maneuver along the narrow street of parked cars on each side to reach the entrance.
The location is near various places to eat or have a drink, many within walking distance.
The rooms themselves are clean and a decent size. The bathrooms are on the smaller size, but then again most in Europe are small. My "American-sized" body could have used more room in the shower. Everything worked and that's what's important.
Our stay included breakfast, both hot and

Yup, you'll not find me disagreeing with the positive sentiments that have gone before about this place. It constantly astounds me that people will pay through the nose for Devonshire Gardens 10 minutes further along the road when this lovely little guesthouse offers everything at a fraction of the price in an (arguably) better location.
Two minutes walk from Byres Road and the Botanic Gardens, the area is one of the most aesthetically-pleasing, and safest, in the city, with plenty of nearby night-life. If you ask me, save your pennies on the accommodation and spend them on Byres Road -

The Belhaven Hotel is a great gem of a place just hidden off Byres Road. It's right opposite the Botanic Gardens and Great Western Road - but because it's hidden by trees you can't really hear the noise of the main road at all. In fact, if you didn't know it, you'd never even notice that it was there.
If you were staying at a hotel with rates this reasonable - you'd probably expect to need a shoehorn to get you in and out of your room/shoebox. Not the case at the Belhaven Hotel. The rooms are absolutely HUGE, especially if you end up with the family room like we did
