Covering 35,000 sq feet over two dedicated fabrication workshops 3Ks Engineering Co have the capacity to meet the requirements of a demanding customer base. Competing in the modern day engineering environment 3Ks has facilities for performing profiling, rolling, drilling and of course welding.
Employing OXY/ACT, MMA, MIG/MAG, FCAW, TIG and SAW welding processes and adopting the correct pre-heats, inter pass temperature and post-heat requirements within the procedure, 3Ks can meet the stringent demands of most applications.Using our own qualified inspector 3Ks will carry out dye penetrant or full MPI non-destructive testing when called for within the procedure, or use an independent testing house as and when required.

With three dedicated machine shops covering an area of some 30,000 sq feet 3Ks Engineering Co have an excellent diverse machining capacity, our machine shops cranage capacity of 20 tonnes also allows ease of handling large components.

Within our designated workshop 3Ks can offer a fully comprehensive fitting service to all of it's customers. 3Ks outsource load testing and both painting and surface treatments to their approved suppliers. By combining the Machining and Fabrication facilities it enables us to provide assemblies, sub-assemblies and an extensive refurbishment programme for the reconditioning and upgrade of our customers equipment.

Here is a selaction of case studies from some of our heavy machining and large fabrication projects. 3Ks Engineering Co were approached by the main design contractor employed by the Ministry Of Defence to carry out urgent modifications required to HMS Ocean's 34 tonne deployment pontoon.
The pontoon had sustained serious accident damage deeming it unusable and requiring replacement of the 60mm thick steel hinge sections, a planned deployment of the vessel to a major international Navy exercise off the coast of Norway resulted in an emergency turnaround required.
