Afon utilise specialist design engineers to carry out analysis of structures and pressure vessels to required codes of practice. We have in house CAD capabilities and development software, supplemented by external facilities as. Press brake facilities at Afon allow for the forming of light to heavy plate products to produce cylindrical, conical, square to round, and many other complex shapes in thicknesses from 3mm to 75 mm in ferrous and.

We have in house CAD capabilities and development software, supplemented by external facilities as required, to produce survey, manufacture and installation detail drawings.
We work extensively with ferrous and non-ferrous materials through a range of material thickness from 3mm to 60mm. A proportion of our range can be pre-ended without an additional bending allowance to minimise waste and can be supplied with plasma cut or machined edge preparations inclusive of machined tapers to suit design requirements.
Afon use an ESAB Supraex 5000 Plasma machine with the added facility of oxy- acetylene. This equipment provides outstanding levels of precision across all operations and utilises VISION 51 control and Columbus 3 programing and nesting system. With a 30 metre x 4 metre bed cutting capability we are able to profile the largest formats and more parts in less time, through the benefit of intelligent automated production.
