Services
The school is run and funded as part of the Education Authority. We have a Principal and fully qualified teachers, as found in any school in Northern Ireland. We also have a team of highly qualified support staff. Ballyclare Nursery School has three classrooms, which hold a class of 26 children each in the morning and afternoon sessions.
All parents receive a 'Parents Guide to Child Protection' as part of the induction process. This outlines the key elements and procedures of our Child Protection Policy. Any parent who wishes to read the full policy may request to do so. There is also a copy of a 'How to Raise a Child Protection Concern' flow chart displayed in both entrance areas of the school.
At nursery we invest a lot of time in developing a love of stories, and rhymes and on introducing children to a range of topics in information books. Staff skilfully develop children's concept of print throughout the day incorporating text into different areas of learning.
While many parents already read to their children every night, enjoying that special time at the end of a busy day, other families do not have this as part of their bedtime routine.Through Big Bedtime Read, it is hoped that all parents can recognise how sharing a book together in a relaxed and enjoyable way lays the foundations for a life-long love of reading.

Thank you for your interest in Ballyclare Nursery School. If you would like any other information then please contact us and we will be happy to help. What a wonderful nursery! I've been so happy with our little girls progress since joining the nursery. She can't wait to go to school every day and absolutely adores her teachers. We've been kept up to date with all the activities and there are a lot of them to keep the kids entertained. I will definitely recommend Ballyclare nursery and I want to thank everyone there for making such a difference in our childrens lives. 5⭐
