A leter I sent to the company ....
Dear Sir
Yesterday, whilst visiting your Avonmouth Recycling facility, I had the misfortune to cut myself opening a plastic refuse sack.
The accident was entirely my own fault.
The reason I am writing is to thank and commend your excellent staff, particularly Mike (I am afraid I did not get his surname) for their prompt and efficient assistance.
Immediately Mike observed the accident he took charge of the situation; calming me, performing an accurate assessment and ensuring the correct actions and procedures were put in place.
Mike remained with me while

Repeated missed collections for the City Council, longest without a collection has been 4 weeks. Supposed to get household waste collected weekly, this happens fortnightly if at all. Worst waste service I have experienced around the country.

Atrocious customer service, lazy employees who never take all the rubbish, leave plastic and metal in the road and have a general "couldn't care less attitude". I've seen specimens in the primate enclosure at Bristol Zoo who could do a better job than this lot. Awful company.

Cannot fault them. Unsung heroes. 50,000 households and customers. 49,500 cannot do their recycling properly or put their bins out correctly and just moan at them but they do a fantastic job in trying circumstances. Got nothing but good words for them. Well Done.

This company are appalling despite numerous complaints relating to non collection of cardboard recyling ( it is now 5 weeks since they last came ) from our block of flats they seem unable or unwilling to collect. they are supposed to collect on a weekly cycle.
Six months ago we had an issue with non collection of General waste we were finally told through our managing agents that they had lost the remote for getting in, quite when they were going to let us in to this little secret had we not constantly complained Heaven only knows. If you have a choice steer well clear. I struggle to give them

My 4*s relate to this specific company and not to their contract provider Bristol City Council that I want to rate with 1* only!
The council seem to want to make it as hard as possible to use the facilities, not impossible but a test of endurance.
My mother in law (92) lived in Bristol and is disabled and housebound, she is moving into a care-home and we need to empty her flat to sell it to pay for care.
To use the recycling centre she needs to be in the car with me with photo ID proof of address etc, this is not happening so after much searching and emails I find the helpful but regulation
