Here at Towens we are proud of our history and record in waste management and construction services, our association with Weston Super Mare, its business council and residents. We did pretty much anything in the early days, except skips as Andy Towens was not permitted to compete with his previous employer under the terms of his severance.
At this time Woodspring District were very supportive finding various civil engineering works for us to carry out. In 1994 Towens merged with C-T plant a local plant hire company and the operation was moved to a small depot on Rectors way. In 1997 we purchased two plots of land in Warne Road, moved in and began the skip side of the business.

We operate a large covered transfer station that is fully licensed by the Environment Agency. We process and sort all forms of commercial waste delivered via skips and roll-on-offs. Waste is sorted shredded, screened hand picked and remotely segregated to ensure that the absolute minimum goes to landfill.
Towens Waste Management provides a service that is efficient and responsive to the needs of domestic and commercial customers, with our fleet of skip and hook lift lorries supplying skips and containers within 24 hours of ordering to the North Somerset, Somerset and Bristol areas.
Operating from Weston super Mare and Bridgwater Towens offer a professional standard of service to the construction and building industry, commercial customers, the general public and some national waste management companies. The waste you put in your skip gets transported to our Transfer Station where it is tipped out ready for processing.

Towens have been at the forefront of the provision of Tipper hire in Somerset for the past 20 years. We now operate a fleet of over 20 8-wheel tippers an articulated tipping trailer and 8-wheel and 6-wheel grab lorries. Vehicles are predominantly Euro 6 and 5 engines. Based in Weston-super-Mare and can provide tipper hire aggregate and topsoil delivery Muck away and anything else you can think of throughout Somerset West Wilts and North Devon.
We run HIAB services to move awkward and cumbersome loads around the site. For customers who are unable to load material themselves or where you have small piles of soils, subsoils, hardcore or waste for disposal we offer our 8-wheel and 6-wheel grab lorries. Fitted with Atlas Hiab cranes with a clam bucket attachment, they can clear just about anything from your site in minimal time and with no fuss.
Towens support the Governments Environmental policy of promoting recycled aggregates as a cost effective alternative to quarry aggregates, in doing so reducing the amount of waste going to landfill. Materials for recycling get selected from our Waste Transfer Station, demolition sites and other groundwork projects.

Dangerous, reckless and inconsiderate driving by an employee! They could have easily caused a fatality of a rider or horse from their actions. When told about the incident, the company didn't seem to care or have any sympathy towards the riders and their horses. I wonder if they would've cared if the incident had resulted in a fatality? Murder and manslaughter charges?

Having seen a video of one of your employees speeding past a horse and rider on the road, I am disgusted! The result could have ended in a serious accident involving other road users at best, and at worst the rider could have been killed, which could mean being sued for manslaughter, your employees need retraining and you as a company need to take responsibility.

Because there drivers are rude and endangour other peaple lives on the roads. They either need to educate them or close for business. They will cause a fatality if they carry on. I saw a video of a driver regarding two horses it sickens me. Would they feel the same if it was there family member that had happened too.

They could improve by employing drivers who respect other road users. The behaviour by one of your drivers today towards 2 horse riders is disgraceful. Totally dangerous driving at that speed but to sound the horn and laugh is nothing short of criminal behaviour. There is no defence for his actions and I hope the law deals with him.

Horrifying dangerous driving which could have killed a horse and rider. The Towens driver found it funny! The shocking video is available to see on Facebook and Towens are doing nothing about that driver. Of course when he kills a child they might think about their responsibility as a company but by then it will be sadly too late

Watched a shocking video today showing atrocious driving by one of Towens' truck driver. He showed complete disregard for the safety of vulnerable road users (2 riders on their horses) and could have caused a disaster had it not been for the skill of those riders. The company should make a public apology to the riders and instigate disiplinary action against the driver. 🤬

Cant believe what I have just witnessed driving past my house, close to a school at 8:25. One of your lorries (WX13 RVM) doing approximately 40mph in a 20mph zone fully loaded texting on his phone, I stopped at the lights to inform him I was going to report him and got told to f*** o**. This is not very professional
