In the modern rush for digital printing machines that can be operated and refilled with toner by anyone with a basic knowledge of a personal computer, it can almost be forgotten that a very short period of time ago the selection and preservation of a corporate colour was of paramount importance.
The skills of a lithographic printer to mix a spot colour and keep it consistent to a client's needs across a range of paper types is, sadly, a dying art.Is it a dying art at Gowise Print? You can bet your Pantone Book it isn't. Skills of manual colour matching and consistency at Gowise go back over sixty years and have been passed on to our current generation of lithographic experts, Jason Rope and Liam Blackwell through traditional methods.

We would argue that the printing and paper industries are far more ecologically friendly than most people realise. Communication electronically can be wonderfully efficient, but paper use is not the big evil it is sometimes reported to be. As a company, we think very hard about our impact on the environment which is reflected as a top priority in all our investments and daily work routines.
The word "print" covers a vast array of products from t-shirts to billboards. We certainly do not do everything, but as a rule of thumb, if it is ink on paper or cardboard, we either do it or certainly will know someone who can!
We excel in producing print work slightly out of the ordinary and have printed a huge array of weird and wonderful printed items since 1983, from secretly numbering million-pound Bearer Bonds (that was a one-off, don't raid us please!) to producing service sheets for Her Majesty's local Chapel.Although our service is predominantly local, examples of Gowise printing can be found all over the world!

Our preferred file format is high resolution PDF with 2-3mm bleed (to all edges) and separated if necessary into spot colours or as CMYK if full colour process printing is required. Other formats such as EPS, TIFF or JPEG should be saved as High Resolution 300dpi CMYK documents with all relevant fonts embedded or outlined, wherever possible and with bleed considered.

The individual's at Gowise Print, particularly Nick, have always been incredibly helpful. I often have pieces of work that i need copying and binding as part of my Chartership and the work that they produce is of an impeccable standard. There are never pages missing from the copies they make, they even allow me to check through a PDF file they send to me to ensure no pages are missed. The books they produce I have no complaints with. I have my work PUR bound and i cannot recommend this enough for individuals submitting work as part of their degree, masters or like myself for a chartership. Aside
