My name is Janet, I am an experienced full-time Lake District wedding photographer and I couldn't be happier running a wedding photography business in the area where I grew up. Based in the beautiful village of Beetham, Cumbria has always been home to me and my family. Regularly photographing weddings in The Lake District, Lancashire, and The Scottish Borders.
I think myself very lucky to be able to live and work in such a beautiful county. My approach as a wedding photographer is to capture your day as it unfolds, looking out for spontaneous moments of emotion and all the countless treasures in between. Christopher and I wanted to pass on our heartfelt thanks for your professional and friendly service on our wedding day. For two people who do not enjoy being the center of attention and certainly don't like our photos being taken we thought you would have a huge task ahead of you. I don't know how you did it but I immediately felt at ease and you have a lovely way of making everything seem so effortless and seamless.
Just The Two Of Us Weddings are becoming an ever more popular way of getting married in the UK. I now offer elopement and small wedding photography packages for couples who want to get married in quiet, private ceremonies. I've been fortunate to have shot many small weddings over the last 15 years and I really enjoy being part of them.

I booked Janet Ridley Photography for my wedding and am absolutely delighted with the photographs. They have captured the day perfectly but it wasn't at all intrusive so I didn't feel like my wedding was being "interrupted" for photographs and I was able to get on with enjoying the day. The pictures are beautiful and Janet was really lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!

Janet recently took my surprise engagement photos, she was a huge help from start to finish with her local area insight, that really help me through last minute road closures. We booked Janet as our photographer for our wedding in May. From start to finish she was on hand with ideas and was flexible as we didn't live nearby. On the day she calmed me and fitted in effortlessly with the wedding party. Janet captured all of the precious moments I had hoped for as well as some amazing surprise natural shots I had no idea she had even taken! We were thrilled with our photos and have so many to choose from. I would not hesitate to recommend Janet if you want a professional, friendly, relaxed service all the way through!
