We are wedding caterers and event planners based in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria. We started catering for weddings and events thirty years ago, in Cumbria, Cheshire, Lancashire and throughout North West England. We provide food for all types of events from birthday parties in family homes to huge corporate events and, more recently, for home dining.

We do really good food, beautifully presented and served with a smile for 10 up to 1,000 people. We run the day, co-ordinate all the contractors, organise the best man (if he needs organising), Nothing is too much trouble. Imagine a hotel in your garden being run by staff that you've trained, that's what you'll get.
We are happy to serve any drinks provided by you and don't charge corkage. We make a nominal charge for the provision and washing of glassware for the drinks reception and meal. Alternatively you can source your own glassware and we will served your drinks free of charge. One thing to bear in mind if you are planning on providing your own drinks is the chilling of everything.
If the thought of planning a wedding at home or in a venue fills you with horror there are various things we can do to help with out breaking the bank. We offer three different options that we find work exceptionally well. Quite honestly in a lot of cases we can save you more than it costs as we negotiate the best possible prices from the suppliers and pass this saving onto you.
Don't try and over co-ordinate the colour scheme. With the best will in the world you can't totally match the shade of your rose petals with the chair covers, the bridesmaids dresses and the icing on the cake. Contrast is sometimes better than trying to achieve a perfect match. On the day of the wedding 'let it go'.

We are so happy that we asked Karen Rhodes Weddings and Events to provide the food for our wedding - we were really impressed with the service from start to finish. Right from the beginning, Charlotte was extremely responsive and happy to answer any questions we had. We were provided with a clear step-by-step guide of the main decisions/deadlines leading up to the wedding which helped us keep track of what was left to finalise. Phil, Charlotte and the team at Karen Rhodes made our wedding truly special, they went beyond and above to make the day perfect for us. The food was impeccable and service second to none, I would recommend Karen Rhodes to anyone that needed catering whether that be a private dinner party or a large wedding. Fantastic from start to finish for our wedding, we could not have had better. Real attention to detail, amazing food cooked and served to over 100 guests in our marquee that was quarter of a mile from a main road. Well done Karen, Phil and the rest of the team. I'm sorry for the late review - we've been busy making babies!!
