Virgo Care Homes is a local family company with over 15 years experience in the care sector and we have three care homes that specialise in Dementia Care and Complex Nursing Needs. We are registered with the Care & Social Services Inspectorate for Wales (CSSIW) and a member of Care Forum Wales.

Services
All the homes have accommodation that exceeds the National Minimum Standards. Hollylodge has 29 single rooms, Thomas Gabrielle has 41 single rooms and 1 double room & TGEMI has 26 single rooms. All the homes have lounge and dining facilities as well as on-site laundry rooms and kitchens, the regularly strive to maintain an excellent appearance and regularly refresh decoration and soft furnishings.
It is our belief that the purpose of our Care Homes is to provide the highest possible standard of care to each client. This will be achieved through the effective co-ordination of all dedicated and caring services available amongst the staff, Social Services, Local Community and Health Care Services in partnership with the client and their relatives/friends.
We have a team of dedicated staff who receive the necessary training to carry out their roles in the organisation and have our commitment to regularly update this training. Vacancies do arise within the homes and these include Qualified Nurses, Team Leaders/Senior Carers (both day and night) along with Carers and Domestic Staff.
Debbie Gay is deputy Manager at Hollylodge. Debbie has gained knowledge and experience in the Residential care setting, completing NVQ's and continues to develop her knowledge and skills. Debbie is currently completing her QCF Level 5 in management. Hollylodge has 6 Team Leaders covering the day and night shifts and they all have the relevant skills & knowledge to carry out their role.
Marcia Davies is the Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead Nurse and is R.G.N. 1 qualified and has been employed at Thomas Gabrielle Nursing Home since 1997. Marcia began her nursing career in 1991, she trained for 3 years at Nevill Hall Hospital and once qualified worked 3 months in care of the elderly at St Woolos Hospital before joining the Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing service.
