Cantref Residential Home

Cantref Care Home offers a uniquely different choice for our Individuals. Our objective is to create an environment where you receive the highest standards of care, where dignity is respected, where talents and individuality are encouraged and where life for our Individuals may be enjoyed to their fullest potential.

Cantref is a family-run care home that was set up over thirty years ago. The Registered Manager is Mrs Joanne Pritchard, who has worked in this environment since the home first opened. Mr and Mrs Bailey are the Care Home Directors and Cara Bailey is the deputy. We have more than twenty five dedicated staff which includes; two teams who work throughout the day (8am-8pm), and two teams who work at night, with additional support at busier times.

We have nine rooms on the ground floor, which have a wash hand basin in situ and toilets close by. Twelve rooms are on the first floor, which is accessible by a stair lift. These rooms (aside from room 20) are en suite. They all vary in size and decor. All are tastefully furnished and are re-furbished as often as is possible.

We have three lounges, two on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The two main lounges downstairs both have large smart TV's and comfy chairs. The first lounge you come to on entry is painted subtly with lemons and greys with a whole wall decal of white trees and golden birds flying. Here is where we normally hold an afternoon cinema session or where the hairdressing takes place on a Tuesday.

Breakfast is served either in your rooms or in the dining area from 8.00am onwards. You can let our staff know your preferences with a choice of porridge, cereals, fruits, toast, poached egg, tea, coffee, juice. Our dining area is an array of four tables with comfy seating that is next to our kitchen serving area.
