Incorrect wheel balancing - Causing bald spots around the tread of the tyre often with noticeable vibration. Incorrect wheel alignment or tracking - Causing Front tyres to rapidly wear along the inside or outside edges.
After demand from new and existing customers, we have installed a quick and simple solution for the straightening of alloy wheels. With over 75% of cars now having alloy wheels and the state of the UK roads diminishing, we can remove flat spots and buckles in the wheel, saving the expense of replacement.
At George Tyres we can check if your battery is failing or not. If it is failing we can supply fully charged high quality guaranteed Low Maintenance or Maintenance Free batteries from stock for the most popular vehicles. We are always happy to give your brakes a free check-over. As with tyres, safety is paramount but we will only replace brake items that require replacing and give the best advice on when you should have replacement brake parts. Turned up with a dented allow and a flat tyre. Our Toyota has no spare, so totally stuck and unable to get home from Maldon. George Tyres were able to see me immediately. They straightened the wheel and fitted a new tyre while I waited. Honest and straightforward service with good advice and prices. Really good service.

I've had good service over the years - tracking mainly. However last time, in Feb, although the guy did a great job on the tracking he didn't feel inclined to check/tell me that the control arm bush was visibly knackered and needed changing before tracking could be done. So he potentially lost business because I'd probably ask him to replace it but it annoyed me as it had to then be re-tracked when the noisy arm was replaced a week later - so I ended up paying twice for tracking.
