Services
Check availability with our online calendar and book yourselves a lovely break on Scilly. Our changeover day is Thursday, except for Easter and May half term which can run Saturday to Saturday. We will also negotiate where we can. Out of high season we're very happy to offer short breaks of three or more nights.
Sylina is located in the scenic, quiet, north-west corner of St. Mary's. It's an easy and pretty 30-minute walk into Hugh Town and to the quay, to catch boats to the other islands. If you don't fancy the walk, hop on the local bus which drops you off in time for all the off island boat trips. There is a bus-stop 50m from the front door.
The beauty of Scilly is that you can do as little or as much as you like when on holiday here. It's not busy by mainland standards by any stretch of the imagination, but there are plenty of things to do and to a certain degree you make your own entertainment - the archipelago's breathtaking natural beauty makes sure of that!
From night time star gazing to experiencing sunrise from a sail boat, there is plenty to do and see on Scilly, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. When you're planning your travel to Scilly, please note that there isn't regular transport available to and from the islands on Sundays. The Scillonian runs on Sundays in high season, but we suggest you double check your travel dates before booking accommodation. Skybus flights operate out of Exeter (March - October), Newquay and Land's End.

This self catering has just been taken over by new owners Kate and Jeremy who have kept it as a going concern. It is very homely, warm, clean but also has most mod cons you can think of including a big American fridge freezer. The rooms are clean, bright and airy and each has an ensuite shower room attached. There are 3 bedrooms so in effect 6 people can stay. The kitchen/diner/lounge is comfortable with very good amenities. Despite a 40 minute amble from Hugh Town it is well located and presented and well worthy of a 5 star rating. Locally there is a bus which stops just 50m way and goes to town
