The Three Cranes is a beautiful Grade II listed building with classic features in the centre of the charming village of Turvey. We pride ourselves on superb food, freshly prepared on site based on recipes designed by our chef Hayley. We source fresh fish on a daily basis, based on the catches of the day and use these to create daily fish specials.
For those interested in the history of the area the Three Cranes originally belonged to Turvey House and was known as the Chequers until circa 1847 when it was renamed The Three Cranes. Turvey House is adjacent to The Three Cranes and also next to All Saints' Church. The current house was built circa 1792 on the remains of the original house.
The Kingscoat with either two single beds or one super king size bed and has a luxury walk-in shower area 110 including breakfast, 90 per night Room only. The Chequers has a sledge style king size bed with an en-suite shower room 100 including breakfast, 80 per night Room only. The Cranes has a king size bed with en-suite shower room 100 including breakfast, 80 per night Room only.
We have an excellent garden facility which is available for private event hire such as birthday parties, anniversary parties and wedding celebrations. The garden is sufficiently large to accommodate a substantial marquee and still leave plenty of space outside. The Three Cranes will support you with your event for the provision of buffet food and a bar.

I fail to see how anyone can give anything but 5 stars! We have recently been to a Michelin star restaurant and this was definitely as good as! It is so lovely to see that they use local suppliers as much as possible. I attended with parents and daughter celebrating all our birthdays that we’d missed with covid. It was truly special, my daughter is Gluten Free and this was not an issue. So accommodating, well done 3 Cranes I shall be returning very soon!

I just wanted to say how well The Three Cranes have prepared for reopening during this pandemic. I called in today for the first time and felt confident and safe with the measures in place. There is plenty of… space between tables inside and also 2 outside marquess with tables. I will definitely visit again soon. Next time to eat!

Not very friendly or welcoming. Went in for one drink about 10.15pm after the Turvey Pre-school Xmas Shopping evening. Gentlemen behind the bar obviously wanted to shut up early. Heard a remark he made to what I presume a regular 'oh (swear word) are they not going yet, I want to shut up' It was only 10.30pm? Just awful. We just got up and left! Shame as I live local and will spread the word.

Average village pub. They do have some nice ales on (some from Suffolk and Bath I'd not seen before), and are open all afternoon. The tables outside make a great spot to watch locals visit the corner shop, or eavesdrop on village politics.
They serve pub lunches, but also have a fancier dining room with dishes like steak, duck, and fish cakes from 6pm (note: the menu yesterday was very different from the one currently listed (http://www.threecranes-turvey.com/eveningmenu.html) on their web site). The food on offer was okay, but not as amazing as I'd been led to believe it might be
