All rooms are offered on room only basis. We have a selection of room types & grades, please do contact us direct for any extra information you may require. Being part of the historic London-Bristol coaching route the Lansdowne Strand is situated on the A4. As you'd expect from a historic 16th century Grade II Listed building most rooms are complimented by beautiful sash windows.
For a relaxing drink take to our to our panelled snug. Characterful and filled with timeless charm the snug is a cosy corner to sit by the crackling fire with a drink or two. With beautiful period sash windows and a roaring open fire, the lounge is a comfortable space to sink into soft seating and sofas.
By morning our breakfast room, throughout the rest of the day the Harris room is available for functions and events. For special occasions or meetings, make use of the privacy of our Regent Room. With space at the table for fourteen and two leather sofas to sink into with a post-meal brandy or coffee this room offers all the privacy of your own dining room but without any of the work!
You can't miss the Lansdowne hotel in Calne. Located in the centre of Calne, the hotel is located on the A4, just 15 minutes from the M4. Free parking is available in our courtyard. Unfortunately our coaching inn was created in a time of true horse power and as such our courtyard offers only limited parking.

Been disappointed with this pub for years but today staff were particularly useless which promoted me to put a review down. Food has always been overpriced and the staff never seem to care enough to put effort in. Good range of drinks but unfortunately most of the stuff on draught is made my Arkells which means it tastes like dirty dish water. Overall supposed to be a premium pub/restaurant (at least by the prices anyway) but certainly doesn't come across as so.

Stayed here overnight for a work related training course that I was attending at a nearby location. Was very pleasant. The room was nice and cosy with a special spa bath. The rooms were very clean. Attention to detail was good( like clean brand new pull cords on the light switch in the bathroom as an example) The continental breakfast was very pleasant and enjoyable. The staff on reception and in the bar were extremely friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. They contacted a cab company for us which was nice of them. The meals we had were pleasant as well. All in all a very enjoyable

Great value - but!
Stayed one night. For the price it was very good. Amazing food highly recommend. Helpful staff. On the negative side, the whole place needs someone with an eye for detail to sort out various issues. There appeared to be no front of house person to maintain standards. Our bedroom had half the internal double glazing missing very odd!!
Alex Polizze would have a field day picking up on the issues.

Parking a long way from hotel . Breakfast poor. Chamber maid service non existent. TV had 7 channels. No lift and you have to cart your own baggage up a flights of stairs. (I'm disabled). Smell of sewage about the hotel on some days. No restaurant on a Monday. Evening meals good. Beer and wine good, but not good enough for me to come back.
