Services
Prospecs Eyewear was established in 1992 by Teresa and Mike Keily. For 25 years Prospecs was located on an industrial estate in Rothley where customers returned to us year after year for our expert knowledge of lenses and great customer service. During this time Mike & Teresa also ran a successful optical lab supplying opticians all over the country.
Certain groups of people such as children and over 60's are eligible for a NHS funded eye test. If you work with computers your employer should pay for you to have an eye test once a year. The NHS recommends that you should get your eyes tested at least once every two years and more often if advised by your ophthalmic practitioner or optometrist.
Stepper have always produced frames where the emphasis has been on comfort. Stepper created the 'design from the bridge' concept almost forty years ago to improve the fit and comfort of spectacles. As most of the weight of a pair of spectacles falls on the bridge this is where Stepper designers' care and skill create the perfect fit.
We are approved distributors for Silhouette. The premium brand, super lightweight frames made from titanium and SPX. All Silhouette frames are hand made in Austria and come with a 3 year manufacturers guarantee. Silhouette is well known for their quality rimless frames. This is our most premium range and we have one of the largest selections in the region.
Flexon eyewear is more durable, lightweight and resistant than conventional metals; allowing you to confidently embrace every challenge without disappointment. Flexon frames require a minimal amount of adjustment; the nose pads and end pieces can be fine-tuned for a more custom fit.

Just collected my Armani glasses exactly one week after having a thorough eye test. I spent nearly two hours trying different frames but never felt I was over staying my welcome. Prospec have an excellent attitude and skill towards customer service and I highly recommend them. Long gone are the days of Tesco buy one get one pair free!

From the minute I called Prospecs at Birstall I was treated impeccably. I provided an existing prescription as I wanted to use some frames of my own that had old lenses in and this was no problem I was told. I had a call a week later to say my glasses were ready to collect and I am so happy with the quality of the lenses as I have varifocals and I had previously had issues with the variance however these are spot on! I will definitely return when I need an eye test and would strongly recommend Prospecs to anyone needed glasses. Well done!!
