Services
Wedding receptions are something of a specialty at Coltsford Mill and we pride ourselves in helping to make the day a truly memorable occasion for you and your guests. The Watermill Barn at Coltsford Mill in Surrey comfortably seats up to 150 guests for dining (tables and chairs are provided) and up to 200 guests for your evening reception.
The Watermill Barn at Coltsford Mill in Surrey comfortably seats up to 150 guests for dining (tables and chairs are provided) and up to 200 guests for your evening reception. The Barn is also licensed for civil wedding or partnership ceremonies for up to 150 guests. The beautiful oak-framed building has large windows overlooking The Gardens allowing natural light to flood in.
The Mill Room is licensed for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies for up to 95 guests. The Mill Room is opposite Mill Cottage where the bride and bridesmaids may get ready beforehand. The Mill Room has a separate doorway for the bride allowing you to make an entrance from behind your seated guests in traditional style.
Coltsford Mill estate extends to 12 acres and the grounds and gardens feature two lakes, the Willow Pool and the Mill Pool, both fed by the River Eden. This peaceful, waterside landscape is wonderful for romantic wedding photographs. Outside the Watermill Barn, the terrace overlooks a fountain and cascading pools that create a relaxing atmosphere for your drinks reception.
The pretty Mill Cottage is available as your home-from-home on the day and night of your wedding. It has its own spacious kitchen, lounge and bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Under the eaves there is a large dressing room with a shower where the bride and bridesmaids may get ready before the wedding ceremony, change or freshen up during the day.

A beautiful wedding venue with impeccable service.
We had our wedding at Coltsford Mill on a very rainy Saturday in October 2021. From the very beginning of the process of viewing this venue right until the end of the wedding day, the service and professionalism was great. Jo and her team were so thorough and thoughtful.
The team managed to fulfil all of our requests, including sourcing a beverage for us that was very difficult to find. The team was so accommodating and welcoming. When they found out that it would be raining on our day they quickly adapted to make it suitable for our guests.

Thank you to everyone at Coltsford for making our wedding so magical. For supporting us through covid with all the changes and for helping us make our buffet dinner and dancing perfect. I very much felt everyone was on our side so we could have the best day possible- and we did!

We had our wedding at this venue on 08/10/21, and the site and staff were all absolutely fantastic. We are still getting comments from guests about how great of a day they had. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get married in a picturesque country location.

Pulling off the main roads into the quaint rolling fields surrounding Coltsford Mill is the perfect start to the experience ahead. A venue that maintains both a rustic and modern feel also allows for indoor and outdoor enjoyment. Spotting fish in the pond or sitting down to fine food, staff are at hand with their friendly, reliable service.
I've seen it described as a hidden gem... it surely is! And it will sit at the top of my mind the next time a venue is required.
