Services
Culligran Estate has 5 miles of mostly double-bank fishing on the River Farrar, divided into 3 beats. The Farrar is one of the two main tributaries of the River Beauly, the other being the River Glass. It flows through a Special Area of Conservation and a National Scenic Area. The many named pools and varied terrain have much to offer both beginners and experienced fishers.
The Chalets and Cottage are one mile from Struy, at the eastern end of Glen Strathfarrar and half a mile beyond the locked gate at the entrance to the glen. A gate key is provided along with the respective chalet or cottage key, on arrival at the gatekeeper's house. Head north on the A9, over the Kessock Bridge and onto the Black Isle (not an island).

Hosted by Frank, these cottages give one the opportunity to spend time in one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland. The experience was enjoyed by all in our party, more accustomed to the sirens and smog of South London.
The river Farrar runs through the glen and is picturesque beyond words and teaming with life. The local gillie, Dennis, is a true gentleman and has endless enthusiasm in sharing his knowledge.
The hills to the north of the glen are vast and unspoilt. You can bag the Strathfarrar Four (munros) and there is plenty more walking/hiking besides.
The place is timeless.
P.S. midge
