Services
Here at Craighead we have considered the most effective way of 'teaching' very seriously. Instead of the traditional adult led process of setting out activities and asking children to come and complete them we follow a child led approach. Our environment is very carefully considered to allow children independence and to take ownership of their own learning.
We firmly believe that relationships are the most important aspect of what we do. It really is like joining in one big happy family. Staff take time to get to know children and their families by finding out about their home life, family and learning interests. This helps immensely during settling in as well as to build up a productive relationship between home and nursery.
We've included some more information here about our opening hours, times of sessions and our fees. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us. We offer full and half day sessions. We have a flexible drop off and pick up system meaning you can drop off and pick up anytime within your session time.
The Nest welcomes our very youngest children from 3 months to around two years. It is a home from home with a wide variety of resources to develop curiosity in your child. We provide natural play materials which are open ended, allowing children to direct their own learning. We are very aware of the importance of attachment and provide lots of cuddles for all our children.
Our forest school provides children aged 3 - 5 years an inspirational and exciting approach to learning. Our forest site allows children to be immersed in a natural environment promoting independence, resilience and challenge. Led by qualified forest school leaders, children explore the natural woodland and make lasting memories.

Best Nursery I could have wished for for my little girl. Love it so much I look forward to telling her its nursery morning her face lights up and can't wait to see her friends and amazing staff that are there.
Elspeth the owner is amazing and keeps us all well posted. We love how there is an app there that we can see what they have been upto before we collect her. Started 8 1/2 months now 3+
