We care for children between 6 weeks to 8 years old, in 3 separate areas within the nursery (baby room, toddler room and play room). The nursery also provides funded hours in partnership with South Ayrshire Council, for pre and ante pre school children, as well as providing wrap round care for schoolchildren, with our provision of breakfast clubs and after school care.
The nursery opening hours are between 07.30 and 18.00 and we provide a wonderful variety of fresh, home made nutritional meals throughout the day. All of the meals are prepared by our own highly motivated, fully qualified head chef.

Hi, i'm Janice, whilst pregnant with my second child in 1989, I struggled to find suitable childcare to allow me to go back to work as a Nurse. I asked myself as a working mum, "what kind of child care would I want for my children to allow me to go to work with peace of mind?". This inspired me to open my own nursery, and on first day of business, we had 3 children, 2 of which were my own.
Learning experiences are planned by our qualified team, and are designed to be responsive to the individual needs and interests of our youngest learners, by following the Scottish Governments' "Pre Birth to Three" Curriculum.
Our dedicated baby room team: Eileen, Susan, Chelsea, Pamela & Lumi nurture and care for your precious bundles within a comfortable, safe, secure and welcoming environment which has direct access to a safe and secure outside play area.Children in our toddler room are provided with a broad range of play experiences to help develop their natural curiosity.

Children form an understanding of themselves and their place in the world through their interactions with others. Using this knowledge, we carefully plan and provide learning experiences and opportunities that will further develop and enhance your children's knowledge, skills and interests.
We work in full partnership with South Ayrshire Council to deliver the Scottish Governments' "Curriculum for Excellence" ensuring that all children have the opportunity to meet their developmental milestones before transitioning to P1.

We all want the best for our children, thats why my two beauties go to Granny Smiths Nursery. This nursery was my first choice based on word of mouth, friends experiences and the amazing reports from the care commissioner. There is a friendly loving environment for the children to flourish, practitioners to management encourage and thrive on developing the skills of the children and remain to have a child Centre approach.

Both my children went to Granny Smiths my younger from 7 months and he 3 and still there. The staff are so caring and nurturing having had a child in all 3 rooms (baby/toddler/ playroom) I know most staff and they are all lovely and can’t do enough for your child. Even the domestic staff and managers make an effect to talk to, engage and know your child.
The meals and snacks are varied and healthy.
