You need to be at least 17 years old to qualify for a provisional licence, which entitles you to drive a car along with a driving instructor (or any licenced drive over 21 years of age), with "L"-plates clearly displayed on the vehicle.When you have your provisional licence you can book your first driving lesson with Alan or Lorraine at Pro Driving School, and can rest assured that you are in good hands.

One of the questions we are usually asked first when we are contacted by prospective students is: "How much does it cost to learn to drive". In a sense, this is pretty much like asking "how long is a piece of string?". This is because every learner driver proceeds at his or her own pace.
Some may need only a few hours of instruction, along with some practice done with family or friends, to be ready to take on a driving test, while others may flounder and take a lot longer to gain confidence.Learning to drive is certainly not a cheap process, but then driving is not a skill that anyone wants to be penny-pinching about.

Like any skill you master, there is always room for improvement, so here at Pro Driving School we are keen, willing and able to take you that extra mile when it comes to driver training. Our most popular advanced driving course is the government's Pass Plus scheme, which is a great way to increase your confidence and competence on the road.

The changes are designed to make sure new drivers have the skills they'll need to help them through a lifetime of safe driving. You will be asked 2 show me, tell me questions. You won't fail your driving test for answering one of the questions wrong but you will get a driving fault (for answering one or both questions incorrectly).

Whole-heartedly recommend Pro Driving School. Alan is a brilliant teacher! He is extremely patient, understanding and takes time to find out what help and learning methods you need as an individual. I was so nervous about driving and it definitely didn’t come naturally to me, but Alan made me feel relaxed and at ease from day one. He made learning to drive an enjoyable experience!
