Services
Find out about the people who oversee the general vision and management of our school. They give their time to ensure that school policies and long term vision are followed carefully to ensure that your child has the best experience that can be whilst they are with us. The governing body has a range of duties and powers and a general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement.
Our staff are committed to our pre-school being an environment of excellence for our children to develop and grow in. Our staff list will give you an overview of who works in our school along with their duties and responsibilities. If you have any questions about the roles and the services that we provide please do not hesitate to contact us.
It is well documented that high quality early education can influence how well a child does at both primary and secondary school. Pelicans is able to claim extra funding (subject to parent's eligibility) through the Early Years Pupil Premium to support children's development, learning and care.
We can use the extra funding in any way we choose to improve the quality of the early years education we provide for children and we will seek parents views on how best to do this. This could include new resources, additional training for our staff, investing in partnership working with our colleagues to further our expertise or supporting our staff in working on specialised areas such as speech and language.

There are lots of support available to children with disabilities and special educational needs, and their families. You'll find information about that Local Offer of support here. Whether it relates to education, health, social care or parental support, and regardless of who's providing it, we'll aim to point you in the right direction.
It's important to turn up to school feeling that you belong and looking ready to learn. Our school uniform does exactly that. It makes our children look smart and provides an identity as a member of our education community. Sweatshirts, cardigans and polo shirts with the Pelican logo are available to purchase and recommended.
