Counselling can allow you the space to talk about your concerns, issues and difficulties which you may be unable to share with others. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between therapist and the client is the key to positive change. I offer a confidential, safe space where you can be listened to in an empathic, trusting and non-judgemental way.
I would work with you on a one to one basis, and you would be the centre of our sessions, giving you the time and space to explore your difficulties. Alongside using a Person Centred approach I am also qualified in Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT). Using CBT can be really helpful to identify and change your negative patterns of behaviour.

Services
I work in private practice in Verwood and Broadstone where I can offer daytime and evening appointments. I specialise in working with anxiety, depression, bereavement and relationship difficulties. As well as my private practice I have experience of working at Cruse Bereavement Care as a Bereavement Support volunteer, working one to one with people who have suffered bereavement.
I am a Person Centred / Integrative Counsellor which means that together we will focus on your issues and concerns and work towards your goals. My role as a Counsellor is not to give advice, but I will listen to you, be non-judgmental and work together to make the positive changes you would like to achieve.
I know that one of the issues that can put you off looking for counselling is the cost, and with this in mind I try to ensure my fees match your income and offer what concessions I can. I am able to offer a few spaces at a reduced rate if you are on a low income or are struggling to afford counselling.
You can contact me by telephone, text or email to arrange an initial session. This is where we meet, take some details and discuss what you would like achieve from counselling. If you are happy to continue we can arrange further sessions. These sessions are 50 minutes and usually the same day and time each week, although I can be flexible to fit around your own commitments.
