A little late writing this one (august stay).
The interior is dated and worn in places, BUT clean ! I had to wait quite a while for host to show up - i think this was more about covid protocols and not their normal way of doing business. but be aware - they are not always onsite.
Basic hot pot with coffee and tea options. Room was small size, bed ok. Old furniture but everything was very clean and well maintained. I reserved ensuite but room wasn't working or something, so bathroom for room i was given was down the hall at the opposite end of room.
Breakfast was a 'challenge". on site restaurant

I stayed here overnight before taking the ferry back to the mainland. I have to say that I was really quite disappointed, particularly given the prices that are charged.
The two stars are for the fact that I was allowed to check in earlier to leave my luggage, the guest house is in a good location (close to centre of town and next to ferry terminal) and the owners were friendly.
However, as a solo traveller I was boxed away in a very small bedroom under the stairs in room 3. I barely had room to put my luggage on the floor, the window wouldn’t shut properly so it was very noisy due to the traffic

Don't book via booking.com booked and paid £220.00 for two nights stay, booked 16th June for a stay on the 22nd June.
Due to the lack of ferry availability I wanted to amend my booking, not cancel for the following week, I was unable to do so, after being prompted via email several times to leave a review for the stay, I left one, this has been blocked by booking.com.

Food was great, very well presented and plenty of it.
A couple of minor things, we had a staff member that kept coming in and checking if our wine bottle was finished by lifting it out of the cooler by the neck of the bottle. In the current climate not the done thing.
Also, they ran out of bacardi and when we suggested that maybe they send someone to Tesco 50 yards along the road, our waitress ,who was brilliant otherwise, said her manageress said no. I even offered to go to tesco myself.
It's all well and good having excellent food well presented but customer care means a lot.
