We are a family owned garage started by Ivan Chubbock some 65 years ago and is now run by Paul Chubbock, with Ivan now retired. We carry out all aspects of motor vehicle repairs on a wide range of vehicles. We pride ourselves in being honest in our approach to vehicle repairs, MOT's and servicing.

Services
We carry out servicing to all makes and models of vehicles, whether it be the latest trend in micro cars right up to the biggest 4X4 and vans. We have the premises and equipment to handle vehicles of all shapes and sizes. We can also service new vehicles without affecting the manufacturer's warranty.
We operate a large MOT bay with the latest equipment which enables us to carry out MOT's on large and small vehicles and it also enables us to carry out one man MOT testing, which helps us to keep the prices down. We are one of the few private independent MOT stations in the area that can MOT everything.
In the picture we have a six wheel fiat ducato (2008) camper on one of our vehicle lifts being serviced ready for a European trip. We believe that you are unable to service vehicles properly just on a flat piece of ground using a trolley jack. The lift that this vehicle is on lifts 10. Here is something fun we were asked to do, we converted a Mitsubishi L200 into a 'big foot' vehicle for a customer to drive around the Scottish moorland.

Always ready to help with the cars and motorbikes we take to their workshop. Don’t mess with Mummy CHUBBOCK behind the reception’s till otherwise you are on your way home.
And Mr CHUBBOCK senior is still riding his 1500 Goldwing Honda in his eighties: amazing!

Lots of years of experience here which has made a wealth of knowledge of all sorts of vehicles new and old.
They answered any questions I had politely and took the time to simplify some complicated/technical stuff so I could understand more.
I'll be bringing my camper back every time for it's service and MOT.
Comfortable waiting room with a good stack of magazines.
The only negative is that's it's a quite a busy place even though it's in the sticks, I think people come a long way to go there.

I've used this garage for MOTS and when its failed they didnt even offer to quote for the repairs. They didnt have time to fix within the 7 day rule meaning I would need to pay for another MOT test. However they were willing to take on more MOTS. The MOT tester is a nice honest guy though., however the receptionist couldnt be less enthusiastic. Just rude really.

Went here to convert to UK specs for my vehicle. They went out of their way to fit me into their schedule and even dropped me off at home due to my car being left there overnight for a morning inspection and myself being unable to drive there in the morning in time for work. Kind, fair, and went the extra my for customer service.
