Physiokinetic
Physiokinetic are open for Face to Face (F2F) appointments at both of our clinics, subject to an initial online or phone health screening assessment which is used to establish the clinical justification for F2F during the current lockdown. Our aim is simple - to provide all of our customers with a first class experience in the management of their injuries and pain.

Our team of physiotherapists, at the University of Birmingham and in Birmingham city centre, have extensive experience in treating all kinds of musculoskeletal injuries, whether they are sports/hobby related, work related, or have just developed without obvious cause. No matter what the injury, you can expect the same high level of expertise and care every time you see one of our team.
Services
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is the specialist field of physiotherapy that assesses, diagnoses and treats disorders of the joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves of the human body. Our team of Physiotherapists are all specialists in the field of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. They have all worked in NHS services as well as professional or elite sport.
No letter of referral is required unless specified by your private medical insurance company (if applicable). Self-referral is permitted for private physiotherapy. You will need to wear or bring suitable clothing to change into. If you have a knee problem, shorts or loose trousers would be appropriate as it is necessary to be able to see and feel the injured area.
We accept card payments on the day or online payments via the IZettle payment link that we can send prior to your appointment. Discounted prices (Initial Assessment 45 / Follow Up Treatment 35) are available for staff and students at The University of Birmingham, Aston University and BCU with a valid ID card.
Address: Physiokinetic Limited, High Performance Centre, Level 2, Sport and Fitness, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, B15 2TT. Was 10 mins late for a 30 mins session. They cut my session to 20mins and still charged me for a full session.

I have used Physiokinetic both times for recovery from Hip Arthroscopy. The team are experts on the recovery required and guided me through the process to full rehab and being able to run safely again. Really friendly team and the ultimate professionals. Also used both locations, George Street is really convenient for city centre workers and the University is obviously top notch facilities following the move to the new sports centre. Not sure why someone felt then need to give 2 stars because they got confused over the locations!

I would highly recommend Physiokinetic. My first appointment was in March/April, after suffering an injury while running. I saw Becki who managed my injury which allowed me to complete my races. She has been instrumental in getting me an MRI referral and my referral to the QE Sports Medicine Clinic. Not sure what I would have done without her. She has shown professionalism and empathy throughout which is all you can ask for.

I booked in for six sessions with the team here. They were the obvious choice to deal with my running injury because of their work with the University sports teams.
I’m delighted to say that I made the right choice. For the first time, I’ve had physio treatment which not only got to the root problem, but also gave me the tools to progress and recover beyond the sessions themselves.
Everything exceeded my expectations, from the treatment to the ease of booking and availability of appointments. I hope I don’t have a need to go back (!) but if I do, I know I am in good hands.
