We are a husband and wife team based in North Shropshire dedicated to working with farmers to get the very best out of what the industry has to offer. Patrick works closely with dairy farmers within the two buying groups; Border Farmers Ltd and Maryvale Farmers Ltd. He has 15 years' experience working as a Dairy Nutritionist/Business Consultant and works closely with dairy farmers to get the best performance from the cows at the lowest feed cost.
Patrick also has a keen eye for new and pioneering projects on farms and is always looking for different funding sources to facilitate these projects; robots on dairy farms, chicken sheds, biomass, holiday lets and many more. Helen runs the recruitment business, actively advertising widely through the internet as well as more traditional means to find the best people to work on farm.

Services
Specialist Farm Enterprises Limited (SFE Ltd) is the management company for two dairy farm buying groups based around Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales. The first group was established as a discussion group by some innovative farmers in the 1980s. As time developed, as well as sharing ideas, they decided to pool their resources to command preferential rates for large on-farm purchases such feed, fuel, minerals and fertiliser.
SFE Ltd - Recruitment was born out of many discussions with farmers who fear that the lack of good staff is one of the major threats facing successful farming business in coming years. We are involved with the farms we recruit for in many different capacities, not just as a labour provider. We therefore know the farms, the farmers, their businesses, set ups and cows!
The farms we work with have on average 250 cows with the largest farm having around 700. There is a wide variety of choice in farming systems from high yielding herds to spring grazers to farm with Robots. Most of our farms are on premium milk contracts and have largely modern facilities.
