Services
J.T. Howe Funeral Service is a family run Funeral Directors, Emma and I have almost 30 years combined experience of working within the funeral industry. All funerals and associated services are arranged and undertaken by myself James and my Wife Emma. Our Children Elizabeth and George are already showing a keen interest in following in their parent's footsteps and we are sure it won't be long until they join us.
We understand visiting your loved one is a personal choice; it is an extremely emotional and difficult time. Our Chapel of Rest is well-appointed and provides a calm atmosphere. You can personalise the Chapel of Rest with photographs, or maybe play your loved one's favourite music. You are welcome to spend as much time with your loved one as you need.
Purchasing a funeral plan enables you to pre-plan, pre-design, and pre-pay all your funeral services in advance. In doing so, you enjoy peace of mind and key benefits; purchasing a funeral plan helps remove the emotional burden and much of the financial worry from your next of kin at a time in their lives when they are least able to cope.
Depending on where someone has died, there are different processes to follow. Below you will find more details on each process, these are only guides, we will be on hand to explain things further and to provide you with assistance and support. Please be assured your loved one will be treated with the upmost respect and dignity from the moment we collect them either from home, a care home or hospital.
If you'd like support with registering the death, yourlocal funeral director can help you. We can start making arrangements and give you advice before the death is formally registered. A death must be registered in the district in which it occurs. However, if a death occurred in another district, a declaration can be attested at any register office and forwarded on to the relevant district which will issue all the necessary documents.

When my mum passed away, it was a very difficult time and not something I have had to deal with before. James was kind and considerate, understanding and supportive. He knew what to say at what time and how to say it.
He reassured me from the moment he was involved that mum would be in good hands. On the day he picked her up from hospital he kept me informed that she was safe with him, and let me know when she had arrived at the funeral directors. He provided guidance through the process and suggestions for the service where appropriate. Even the small things like nail varnish were discussed.

We visited James to discuss our unusual requests after we pass, James was very understanding of our needs he put together a pack and price which to be honest was way below what we thought it would be, I would recommend James in a heartbeat because we can be at peace knowing James will deliver our wishes.

My father passed away in South Wales & his last wish was to return to his roots for his funeral. I thought this was going to be a very tricky task. This however was not the case. I called James & Emma asked them if they could make my dad wishes come true & they delivered on all aspects from bringing my dad home, getting him ready & taking him by all his haunts on the way to the crematorium. I have no doubt how good they are, especially after the challenge I gave them. Thank you once again & I’ll be in for chat after lockdown.

I first made contact with James after receiving one of his leaflets through my door before Christmas advertising his services. I called James to discuss having my mums ashes made into a ring. James was very knowledgeable & came to collect my mums ashes from me. Today 6 weeks from first making contact with James he called round to deliver my new lovely ring. I will certainly be calling James again if I am to lose anyone.

We had a complicated funeral to arrange which involved an existing plot in North Manchester. James and Emma made the whole process a whole lot easier. Their advice was invaluable in choosing a minister to conduct the graveyard service and many family and friends complimented the service. I couldn't recommend J.T.Howe Funerals enough.
