Whilst we try our best to keep our website up to date, you will find all of our latest news & offers on our Facebook and Instagram accounts! We have recently renovated our restaurant during lockdown (previously known as 'the old forge') to create a more open plan layout. We have now increased our seating capacity and our food serving hours.
We are serving from one menu throughout the day, with additional Chef specials and not to forget our wonderful Sunday lunch menu. We have a children's menu available ( all home made) and a great nibbles menu, perfect for sharing! Take away service is also available for our refreshing cold alcoholic & non alcoholic beverages plus a wide range of Hot drinks from our Rijo 42 machine.

Lovely place, very popular especially in the evenings. Food was just ok, I've had better and worse. Too many onions in the plate cheese and onion pie for my liking and the chips were a good colour but were a bit soggy. Would also have been nice to be given a choice of beans or peas. My partners fish was again ok but not as thick as others he's had. Lastly, the Malteser cheesecake was just ok, again I've had better. It was a basic cheesecake with a couple of Maltesers sprinkled ontop, would have been better to have a few mixed in the actual cheesecake for added crunch.

Went on a Sunday for my sons birthday, booked very short notice but staff managed to get us a table. Service was fantastic! Nothing was a problem, tables cleared instantly when there were empty glasses or… plates. The food itself was fantastic! Black pudding stack for starters , half gammon half beef Sunday dinner and cheesecake for dessert, all of which were very very tasty! I will definitely be going back!

We go into this lovely country pub most weekends. We were in today. Just seen the review about the owners being rude about the barking dogs. They were not rude and the dog was barking a lot. And before anybody says anything l am a animal lover and also have a dog. But do not want to have a relaxing sunday lunch with a dog barking .so l think you should respect other people and not slay the pub for trying to look after customers needs

This pubs makes it seem as though they are dog friendly from the outside however they then make you feel very uncomfortable if your dog makes a slight noise. (Id understand if our dog barked a lot however we had been there over 30 mins and the dog hadn't barked once but she made a small bark when a new dog joined the pub and then was quiet again). Owners were very rude and made us feel uncomfortable to stay. Maybe you shouldn't advertise dogs are welcome if this is how you feel and are going to treat people with dogs. Wouldn't return, which is a shame as other than this, it was a good experience

First time back since the renovations. It looks lovely, brighter and more open. We went for some sharing starters, halloumi fries, chicken, fish goujons and mini sausages. All cooked to perfection. I had a beef roast dinner for my main. The beef was beautifully cooked, slightly pink, and a lovely big fluffy yorkshire pudding. I would highly recommend.

We popped in here after a nice long walk around the estate, we didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised at the excellent quality, friendly service and cosy decor and ambience. I had the black pudding and a mustard sauce starter which was delicious, for main I had the pan fried chicken which great and the sticky toffee pudding for desert, again amazing. Would really recommend.
