Had a fantastic New Year at the Viking, from reception staff to waiters serving our meals all the staff were exceptional I was really impressed, food was stunning and topped off with fantabulous entertainment, also met some wonderful people, it made our New Year something to remember, a big thank you to all at the Viking we will be back soon. Arrived Christmas eve for a 4 night stay. from the moment we arrived till the departure day the hotel pulled out all the stops from the fantastic food and the day and evening entertainment with gr8 singers and brilliant comedy acts especially buddy Lee.absolutely fabulous we had the best time ever .well done the viking management and your brilliant staff.

Absolutely brilliant 👏. We went for dinner, cabaret, bed and breakfast. The whole package was wonderful. Twin room was good size, very clean. The dinner was excellent and catering staff worked hard. All plates were hot and food was hot, including gravy jug was steaming. Show was brilliant as usual, as about our 3rd time there at Christmas. Breakfast buffet was great too. Lovely choices and hot. Beats other top hotels. 👌. Congratulations to all staff who worked so hard.

We've stayed at The Viking quite a few times now and always enjoy our stay. From the moment we arrive staff are all really polite and helpful. We had another lovely relaxing break there, food was as delicious as ever, entertainment was fantastic, room clean, beds comfortable! Such amazing value too. Can't fault The Viking at all and will definitely be returning. A couple of our friends also came with us and were really impressed too and stated they would also return! 5 stars go to every member of staff who make this place so wonderful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Reception staff hard work. I had to spell out my surname several times and she couldn’t seem to find my booking. She didn’t seem present at all and it was an ordeal even to just check in. Another member of staff came to the rescue and it then took all of a minute to get our key.The manageress is really rude with no people skills and is unable to deal with challenging situations.
On a plus side, the rest of the staff were great and couldn’t do enough for you! The entertainment was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great location too.

What a pleasant surprise. Our first stay there was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff, thanks especially to reception for booking our Pleasure Beach tickets :)
Very clean, great breakfast with plenty to eat and finally the evening entertainment being part of the experience.

This is an old hotel and a bit of a warren and not ideal for people with mobility problems. However, on the plus side it is clean, rooms are cleaned every day. The food is excellent with plenty of choice and all of the staff are excellent - very friendly and helpful. The entertainment is good and overall it is very good value for money
