Lola's career in healthcare began in 2001 when she took her first role as a support worker in domiciliary care. Lola didn't expect to enjoy it as much as she did or to find it as fulfilling; it gave her a real sense of helping people.
Lola continued to work in the sector, taking on many roles within care, from support worker, senior support worker and then Deputy Manager, at this time she then moved into the training of the staff and covered a large region of the country. In 2010, Lola became a Home Manager and then progressed to Operations Manager.

We care for people with a wide range of nursing needs and it's important that the care delivered is of the highest standard. And we've set the bar high. We have all the qualifications and experience to provide excellence in nursing care, but all this means nothing if you haven't got a heart.
Whether it's rehabilitation from stroke, support following a hip fracture or joint replacement or help to regain mobility and confidence after a fall or surgery, we can help. Our staff, together with visiting health professionals, will work with residents to increase self-reliance and independence. We can provide round-the-clock specialist nursing care for those long term conditions that cannot be managed at home.

There are many different kinds of dementia of which Alzheimer's disease is the most common. Dementia affects memory, thinking, problem-solving, concentration and perception. It's also progressive and we take measures that have a beneficial effect on the life experiences of our residents at whatever stage they have reached.
Please find below a list of frequently asked questions. It's not exhaustive, but represents what we know are topics of importance to our residents and their families. We are always adding to the list. Often trying to find a home is as a result of a crisis of one sort or another, so you're likely to feel under pressure to make a decision, but please try to take a little time before you do that.

Not great to be honest. Smiles are easy but respecting individual needs and dignity require a lot more. The Home has plenty of smiles and nice people working there but the care is not proactive and barely reactive. Adaptation and respect towards individual resident's ever changing needs in our view fell far short of acceptable. Having spent several years visiting regularly and often at times when visitors were not normally there I witnessed a culture which appeared to care more for the convenience and strict times allocated to care tasks than the individual need of a resident. Staff allocated time

I was surprised to read the previous review as my aunty has been in the home for 2yrs in April and as a resident she has got nothing but good to say about the home. My aunty has all her mental faculties but sadly has difficult with her mobility therefore she is fully aware of all what goes on around her.
As a family visiting my aunty we too have found the home to be very welcoming. It is clean food is good and the staff work hard and are very personable. Nothing is too much. We've attended great events there. It's great seeing everyone enjoying them.
I, my family and more importantly my aunty

I attended Foxburrow Grange yesterday since they are a wonderful member of the Altura Learning community, truly committed to providing high quality training to their staff teams. Smiles all round from the staff and the home felt and looked great! Cinema room, BBQ area, full of light and still I've not done it justice. Thanks Outlook Care for your hospitality :)

Attended Foxburrow Grange on 27/2/2019. Great facilities including a large cinema room for residents and lovely, inviting outside areas. All staff were friendly and welcomed us with big smiles 😊.
Thanks for making the visit so enjoyable!
Very proud to have Outlook Care as members and part of the Altura Learning community.

Foxburrow Grange is a beautiful building with a tranquil garden, but that’s not what makes it the lovely home it is. What makes Foxburrow Grange such a wonderful home is the atmosphere of warmth, calm and kindness. An Abba tribute act were performing in the hub overlooking the pretty garden when I visited and there was so much joy to see! Staff were so attentive with the residents to make sure that they got the most out of the show. It was so much fun and a pleasure to see all the smiles. The décor is as fresh and welcoming as the staff.

My aunty was placed here a few years ago while suffering with cancer, due to there being no room at the hospice. They were awful. She couldn't eat herself as the cancer had spread to her brain and bones, and the "carers" would leave the food in her room and leave again. They also expected her to walk across the hall on her own to go to the toilet rather than get somebody to fix her en suite toilet (which they covered in a bin bag and complained to us that she kept using it). She also ended up with a really sore neck as they would leave her in her room alone all day and wouldn't check on her! So
