The lets are situated just off the beautiful Taw Valley in the green rolling hills of central Devon. The luxury accommodation is a former barn and is believed to be built at a similar time to the main house, (Nethercott) and original farm buildings. In 2010 the conversion of 'The Arches' began and the building itself was completed in Mid-2012 (although development to the grounds and gardens continues).

A local architect and builder were employed for the design and construction and wherever possible local materials have been used. Construction is of stone, oak and slate and the exterior retains its traditional character and appealing brick arches. Despite being double glazed all doors and windows are custom made from solid oak to match the charm of the original building.
Services
We have a new Studio Gym Adjacent to the Arches. Currently contains Bench/Rack, Oly Bar/Wights, Dumbbells, Treadmill, Crosstrainer, Punchbag, Multugym and stretch area. A stroll down to Eggesford will allow you to take the train, visit the Garden Centre or the Bar and Excellent Restaurant at the Fox & Hounds.
Try the surf, (hire available) at Braunton/Croyde or the many cafes and bars at Exmouth, (also a great day out on the train). There are plenty of walks and greenlanes a little further afield. The footpaths at Heywood Forest are extensive and you may explore the early Mott & Bailey. For the more adventurous there is plenty of Hiking/Climbing on Exmoor or Dartmoor, (both within an hours drive) and even a quality Climbing wall at South Molton.
Chawleigh - 2.1 miles from 'The Arches'. Providing a playing field together with various climbing/park facilities for both young and older children. Chulmleigh, 3.1 miles from 'The Arches'. Provides most amenities, including a doctors surgery, dental practice, library, butchers, bakers, hardware shop, corner shop, post office, hairdressers, and various other essential services.
When converting this beautiful building for use as holiday lets we did not wish to spoil the natural environment. Much thought has been put into the impact of the project on the surroundings and we have strived to exceed the current build regulation requirements in all aspect of the build. Coated & Argon Filled Double Glazing throughout.

A very well done and we'll equipped barn conversion. Excellent for couples and families, with a great garden. A very friendly farm cat is always happy for a stroke!
