Services
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed dial 111 (Calls to NHS 111 are free) Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor. Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens. Call 999 in an emergency.
It is important to do this as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a double appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually give you the vaccinations. These vaccines may have to be ordered and this also takes time. Your appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
The Community Midwives look after pregnant women and mothers and babies for 2 weeks after birth. They run the regular ante-natal clinic on Tuesday morning by appointment and a booking clinic on Wednesdays. Our Community Nurses provide nursing care in the home. District Nurses are based at Abbey Hey Clinic, Constable Street, Abbey Hey, Manchester M18 8GD.
Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control. This booklet is for parents (and older children) and deals with common infections in children who are normally healthy. There is a good guide on the NHS website which describes various conditions affecting children.
This factsheet is for people who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or who would like information about it. These links all come from trusted resources but if you are unsure about these or any other medical matters please contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Diabetes is a long-term (chronic) condition caused by too much glucose (sugar) in the blood.

Worst GP surgery ever, one of the worst unorganized GP surgery I've ever come across, tried to have sick note for second week I was about to dead in this week suffering from tempter shortness of breath, bad headache ever my GP refused without calling me or even care about me (they do not know maybe people will get fire from their jobs because of that behaver) and the Receptionist are also not helpful at all
they do not care about anything, just they keep repeating same things, their only job is not to support people just tell nonsense things

Without any doubt, the worst gp surgery I have ever known. How do they consistently get it so wrong? Here are just a few of my experiences over the last 5 years:
- called to see if I could get help contacting a 3rd party I had been referred to. Receptionist thought they put me on hold but they didn’t so I heard them slating me in the background
- was referred for a procedure, had the procedure, got a letter through to attend the hospital afterwards. Turned out to be a brand new referral for exactly the same thing - total waste of time
- was referred to a consultant. Arrived for appointment

Never get to see doctor using covid as an excuse not to see patients had an issue antibiotics didn't sort it but when you phone to talk about it you either can't get a call back or an appointment, so the way I see it can't see a doctor can't even get a phone call off a doctor, Google is becoming the new GP only problem is Google can't forward you or prescribe. What's next go down to hospital waste their time with a minor issue but one I can't seem to solve on my own taking precious time from saving someone's life

By far the best GP I have came in contact with. Give easy fixes to problems and reception staff are friendly and happy to help. The phone calls during quiet go straight through to them and there isn't any waiting times. But when there is a queue the system works great at calling back when you're closer to the front Which I would say is the only improvement
