Lovely looking venue, and the wedding itself was beautiful. The reception room was really cold and we had to ask for the heating to be put on because no one had had the forethought to heat the room before we came to use it.
Sadly the wedding breakfast was really poor. The haggis starter was ok but that was the best part of the meal by a long way. The main was awful - the chicken was ok but it’s hard to mess up a chicken breast. It was served with cold hard veg which wasn’t far off being raw, and something that we couldn't place which turned out to be a cold, solid square of potato rosti. Really

Where to begin, cannot praise the staff here enough. At no time through an extremely busy weekend was any thing too much trouble, so attentive and friendly. Food delicious and rooms very comfortable. Thank you all so much for making my son and daughter in laws day so special. A special shout out to Joan, amazing lady, hope to come say hello and have a white wine, thank you again for making their wedding so fabulous.

Clearly in the midst of massive upgrades and improvements but not the finished product yet. One side of the property is literally a building site, with skips, plant and tons of paving slabs lying out. When fully restored I'm sure it will be outstanding. Not nearly enough staff but those who were there did an excellent job, but service was slow, simply down to lack of personnel. Local dog walkers use the grounds and driveway, so watch where you place your feet when walking on the grass. Food was excellent and the Manager deserved a medal for how well she coped and smiled all day under pressure.
