Attended a birthday lunch in the small function room. What a beautiful room with floor to ceiling windows to get the best view of the river in the distance. Staff were brilliant and food was very good. No one in our 30 plus number was disappointed. Cannot comment on overnight stay but would recommend for a function

Booked her over one night arrived met at reception by excellent staff chatty made to feel welcome booking into room 27 was told was a lovely room and it was all newly decorated and furnished the only gripes we had were no nets or other means of privacy if you didn't draw the curtains as it had huge windows which are very old and didn't lock and they opened as far as they would with now safety latch on an accident waiting to happen I think I understand its not a family room but still a bit of safety wouldn't go a miss but apart from that a lovely room had a fantastic view out the side window a view

Not much to look at from the outside, however the room was very smart, clean, big TV, tea and coffee facilities and toiletries. Every staff member we came across were extremely welcoming and friendly. We ate in the Copper kiln restaurant inside the hotel the night we stayed. Wow the food was outstanding!! Again, the waiting staff were also helpful. I am so surprised there is no clear signage for the restaurant on the outside of the hotel as if I was driving past I wouldn't know it was there. Breakfast was also in the restaurant and an extensive menu including continental and cooked options. The
