Jackie Sim, is also a fully qualified, fully insured, CRB/DBS checked DVSA Approved Driving Instructor. Some clients feel more comfortable with a female instructor or may have religious or cultural reasons for learning with a female and at Smartdrive we are happy to meet that need. You will be learning to drive in everybody's favourite car - the Mini! Unique and iconic, the Mini has been one of the automotive success stories of the 21st Century. We currently run two red Smartdrive Minis with many extras to enhance your learning experience. A perky 1.6 turbo diesel engine, great all-round visibility, air-conditioned comfort and loads of style come as standard!
Before you can take the practical driving test you must pass both parts of the sixty minute theory test at the same sitting. The nearest local test centres are in Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton. The first part of the test is a series of forty-five multiple choice questions, followed by a brief description of a driving situation (a case study) about which a further five multiple choice questions will be asked.
After the Theory Test has been passed and the full driving syllabus covered we can book your Practical test. As with the Theory Test at Smartdrive we will be happy to book the test on your behalf with no booking fees applied. All you will pay is the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) fee, currently 62.00.
At Smartdrive we offer a high level of service at a competitive rate. We believe that "First Five Lessons 50" type offers are a false economy as the driving schools concerned tend to claw back the discount by encouraging you to take more lessons than you need, or by spending much of the lesson parked up at the side of the road.
