Lucas Driver Training offers driving lessons in Shrewsbury, Telford and surrounding areas, teaching to a high standard and producing excellent drivers. We provide high quality lessons at a price you can afford. Our lessons are in a new dual controlled Ford Focus and we can pick you up from home, school work or college.
When people are looking for a driving instructor, they want someone who is patient, friendly and someone they can trust. Many of our pupils come through recommendation from friends or family who have already passed with us. We teach to the DSA syllabus, not because it's the law, but because it's the safest way to drive.

Services
To start learning to drive you must be at least 17 years old, which is the minimum age that you can legally drive a car on public roads in United Kingdom. You can apply for you provisional licence three months before your 17th birthday. If you are disabled and receiving mobility allowance, you can start at age 16.
We will estimate how long you are likely to need after your first lesson. We will take into account any driving experience you may already have, as well as your own style of learning and level of confidence, then put together an individually structured course to make sure that you will be given the best possible chance of passing your test at first attempt.
You need to pass your theory and hazard perception test at the same time before you can apply for your practical test. You will need a valid provisional driving licence to take your theory test. Once you've got that, you can book your theory and hazard perception tests. The theory test is a 50-question multiple-choice test.
You have passed your test - what's next? Pass Plus is a training scheme for new drivers, its aim is to improve your driving skills and make you a safer driver, it can also lead to insurance discounts. The scheme has been designed by the Driving Standards Agency, with the help of the motor insurance and driving instruction industries, to develop your skills and knowledge in areas where you may have limited experience.

Positive: Communication, Quality, Value
Lucas helped me so much towards passing first time. Especially helping with different and very helpful techniques to make doing all the manoeuvres a lot easier. Not only good at teaching a learner how to drive but a very nice person, and always willing to help with things such rescheduling lessons. Highly recommend you go with Lucas!
