Pact was founded in 1980 and started as a Grinding only company, to this day this is still one of our key strengths. We quickly realised that expansion was needed. Over the years with the addition of our other departments, C.N.C Turning, C.N.C Milling and C.N.C Wiring Pact truly offers its customers a one stop solution to their manufacturing needs.
Our Turning department currently has 5 Takisawa CNC machines 3 of which have live tooling. In addition we have a MILLS twin spindle live tooling lathe and a large capacity Colchester CNC lathe, all of which can be programmed offline using Feature Cam Design Software. At Pact Engineering we strive to achieve the very highest standard in machining, from small batch to high volume, each receiving the same level of quality attention.
Currently we have 6 CNC YCM vertical machining centres ranging in size up to a maximum machining capacity of the 1524mm x 596mm x 584mm. All our machines are fitted with measuring probes. TS three-dimensional touch trigger probes can be used to measure work pieces under program control, even between individual machining cycles - for example to compensate tool wear.
Pact recognise the importance of keeping in touch with technology as it arrives. This gives the company reassurance that we can offer the customer the very highest quality components time and time again. The introduction of our Charmilles wire and Die sinking machines enables us to offer the very highest standard in the E.D.M market.
These services include a complete range of conventional and CNC machining including large turning, milling, wiring, and grinding to exacting standards. We work in partnership with our clients to provide individually machined items and complete assemblies. We are able to offer a complete sub contract service or work with our customers' appointed specialists.
