With over 20 years experience, the management of Victoria House pride themselves on offering a highly professional care service for the elderly, with a personal touch. We are pleased to accept Service Users (Residents) for long term, and short term for convalescence and holiday stays. When people have worked hard throughout their life and have been committed to helping others, we think they deserve extra cherishing.
They need a home where individuality is emphasised, with staff who have time to give attention to small detail, and where they have the choice of enjoying the company of like-minded fellow Residents. Allowing a Resident to take calculated risks, to make their own decisions and think and act for themselves.

Services
Our person centred approach and care policy extends to six basic values and as such, our aim is to create a 'A Home For Living In'. These basic values are: Privacy, Dignity, Independence, Choice, Rights and Fulfilment. Twenty-four hour dedicated Service User care is provided and the care staff enables our Service Users to maintain their independence, rights and choices in order to live their lives to the full.
Our aim is to train all Care Assistants to at least NVQ level 2. Our training programme meets the CQC recommendations and also specific requirements for the Service User's needs. Everyone had a ball. Our Chef Jackie had talks with Warrington Wolves to organise to take Clarence to watch the final. Warrington provided Clarence with free transport to Old Trafford, tree tickets to watch the match in a private box with lunch.
Victoria House provides residential care for older people and is registered for older persons with dementia. All rooms will be clearly signed to encourage independence and to relate to individual Service Users' needs. Our Service Users are encouraged to personalise their rooms, providing a more homely atmosphere for the individual, where they can entertain their family and friends, or spend time in their own company.
Our Activities Co-ordinator ensures that each Service User enjoys an activities programme. The varied programme includes one-to-one and group activities, quizzes, reminiscence therapy and outings in the summer when the weather is better for our Service Users. The Activities Co-ordinator will sit with every new Service User and discuss their social interest.
Making sure we are caring, friendly and welcoming to our Residents, their families and friends. Listening to and learning from our Residents and other people's comments and complaints as part of our commitment to be a learning organisation. Helping the person responsible to recognise the consequences of their actions and to learn how to change their behaviour as appropriate.
