Services
Glenfield Dental is located on the main road through the large village of Glenfield in Leicester. It is within a mile of the Glenfield Hospital in Leicester. Established nearly 30 years ago, Glenfield Dental was initially set up as a single surgery practice above the pharmacy. In 1993, we moved to our current location and were joined by Sanjay Vyas, who became practice principal in 2001.
I just wanted to email regarding how pleased I have been with my brace treatment throughout the past two and a half years. Jay has been amazing; he very much is a perfectionist and I have appreciated that with my end result! Jay put all his effort into making me achieve the perfect smile I wanted and he has exceeded my expectations.
At Glenfield Dental we place a great amount of emphasis on the prevention of gum disease. Gum disease can have an impact on your total body health as well as your oral health, and has been linked to a number of serious illnesses such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Therefore it is more important than ever to treat gum disease in its earliest stages.
At Glenfield Dental, we place huge emphasis on our patients' oral health and offer excellent periodontal treatment to those suffering from gum disease. Gingivitis is the initial stage of periodontal disease and the easiest to treat. Periodontitis is advanced gum disease. It begins as gingivitis and, if not treated, will eventually begin to damage the jaw bone and the ligament around the teeth.
Root canal treatment (known as endodontics) involves the removal of the infected nerve and bacteria from the tooth. When the nerve or blood supply of the tooth is infected due to deep decay, trauma or filling leakage it is essential to remove the infected tissue to prevent it from spreading further.

Prior pandemic I had a great dentist. He left and I was referred elsewhere by the outgoing practice when it went into administration. That didn’t go well. I was recommended to Glenfield. It has been fabulous although a little way to travel. They offer a good range of services and the team are professional, friendly and reasonably priced.

I had a CEREC Crown fitted last week. I was a little apprehensive before the appointment, but with it only taking 90 minutes to fully complete the procedure, I was very pleased with the outcome. Now I have a complete tooth that looks and feels like a new one, gone is my half tooth with a cavity that food always got stuck in. I am so pleased with the professionalism of the staff and the speed at which it was done, but most of all how good my tooth feels and looks. Well done to all at Glenfield Dental Surgery
