A veneer is a facing like a false finger nail on the front of the teeth. The veneer can be made of ceramic, porcelain or composite. Ceramic is the most durable option. Veneers are very thin and are bonded to the teeth. Veneers will improve the colour, shape and appearance of teeth, especially if they are stained, chipped or out of alignment.
Out of hours emergency dental treatment is available. Should you find that you have a dental emergency during normal surgery hours you should contact the practice and we will give advice and make arrangements for you to be seen as quickly as possible. If the emergency occurs when the practice is closed, you should telephone the practice and follow the instructions on the answer machine message.
Patients are given a thorough exam and a written treatment plan which will be explained by your dentist. You will then be able to discuss your treatment options with our qualified dental nurses. Your treatment costs are calculated from a set fee schedule so you will know exactly what you have to pay.
The practice is situated on the corner of Aylestone Road and Sawday Street opposite the Leicester College. Parking is available in the residents parking permit places opposite the practice and on adjacent streets for one hour. Please try and save our our car park (3 places) for patients with long appointments.
We recommend regular dental examinations in order to prevent gum disease and tooth decay and also to spot early signs of oral cancer. Where required patients are given oral hygene instruction and a thorough scale and polish. We offer fissure sealants to our child patients. This is a near invisible coating to the fissures, the nooks and crannies where the decay gets in.

I have started my Invisalign and tooth whitening journey. Both dentists are and friendly. They answered all my questions and put my nerves at ease from the get go. The team members are all very professional and always go out of their way to help. The practice is also very sleek and modern. I cannot wait to finish my smile makeover with some composite bonding. Can't thank you all enough.

Absolutely do not recommend this place! The receptionist is so rude and lacking in knowledge of government guidelines re covid and patient care. My mother has advanced dementia and needs 2 carers so my brother and I took her there together, only to be told one of us needed to wait in the car. How can one person ensure she is safe in the wheelchair? She then went on to preach that the hospitals were only allowing 1 carer at a time to accompany patients......we've just been to the hospital with me dad last week and there was no problem at all. I replied that we wouldn't be coming again and she responded

The team at Taylors dental practice have really made me feel comfortable and safe whilst having check-ups and cleans. I have had 3 appointments during the covid-19 period (one being a standard check up, another being a deep clean, and the last appointment being for a night guard) and each time they have taken the necessary precautions to ensure my safety and the safety of everyone who walks into the dental practice. I am very pleased with my experience!

Want to say how grateful I am to the team at Taylor's Dental practice. Losing half a tooth during lockdown has been a tricky process but they advised me on options and then put a temporary filling in and today they put a permanent one in with some further options. They had to do so much work to fulfil the covid requirements and I am very grateful and they were friendly and pleasant throughout. Can't recommend them enough
